Hot Shots

 

Coaching at the Ashburton Trust Tennis Centre is aligned with the Tennis New Zealand's Hot Shots programme


Hot Shots lessons are designed for children of all abilities & those new to the game aged 5 yrs or older.  Hot Shots is played over lower nets, across the court using small racquets and special tennis balls.  

Emphasis is on ball skills/rally situations & learning to serve overarm.

Junior coaches run the sessions.  All equipment is supplied.  Please ensure your child has suitable footwear and bring a sunhat & drink bottle.






Registration Information Term 1 2021

Lessons start week of Monday 15th February 2021 are for six weeks

Fees quoted below cover all six lessons, any rained off sessions will be made up at the end of the six weeks.

We are offering three skill level options for Hot Shots coaching.  Details of each group are listed below:

Red Group - 45 minutes

 Held Mon, Wed & Fri at 3.30 pm & 4.15 pm

The focus of these lessons is 
on developing fundamental motor
skills and hand eye co-ordination
through fun games & ball/racket
exercise.  For players 5 - 8 yrs


Option 1:  1 lesson per week  - $45.00
Option 2:  2 lessons per week - $85.00 [save $5]

Orange Group - 45 minutes

Held Mon, Wed & Fri at 3.30 pm & 4.15 pm

Structured for graduates of the Red
group & other 8 - 10 yr olds new to
tennis, these lessons introduce
players to basic stroke technique &
Ball/racket control through target
hitting, drills & fun games



Option 1:  1 lesson per week  - $45.00
Option 2:  2 lessons per week - $85.00 [save $5]


Green Group - 1 hour

Held Tues & Wed at 3.30 pm & 4.30 pm

For graduates of the Orange group & 
others new to tennis [11yrs +], the
focus is on all aspects of tennis including
footwork, basic tactics & point play with
an emphasis on having fun
 


Option 1:  1 lesson per week - $60.00
Option 2:  2 lessons per week - $110 [save $10]

How to Register

Registration is essential as there are limited spaces available.  Gate entry is included in the registration fee.  No refunds are issued for lessons not attended

Refund Policy:  No refunds will be made, however day/time can be changed subject to availability

Payment can be paid to bank a/c:  03-1351-0448178-00  Please use Surname & Hot Shots as reference

Important:  Full payment MUST be made at the time of registration.  Your child is not registered until you have received confirmation by email.

Postponements

If a session has been postponed due to weather, a notice will be placed on the Ashburton Trust Tennis Centre answer machine ph 308 3020 at approx 2.30 pm
